Tarnagulla Borough Council Chambers (2)

Tarnagulla Borough Council Chambers (2)

The building through the gate on the extreme left was known as The Bedrooms, and was erected in 1860 as an ancillary to The Company's Hotel. By the time of this photograph, the building was occupied by the Tarnagulla Volunteer Fire Brigade, and would continue to be the Fire Station for many decades.
Embossed on the windows of the Council Chambers can be seen the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Library and Mechanics' Institute. Theses latter two rooms were originally the Bar and Parlour of The Company's Hotel.
